Kate Moss Dior Addict Lipstick

A commercial for Dior Addict lipstick starring Kate Moss has been released (or inconveniently leaked).

The 90-second spot shows the blonde supermodel getting dressed in a lush Parisian apartment overflowing with statement-making gowns and heels as Duran Duran plays in the background. With perfectly painted cat-eyes and slick black nails, Moss seductively applies the glossy pink Dior Addict lipstick before stepping out into a paparazzi cloud as she’s driven away to Dior’s Spring 2011 fashion show.

John Galliano Model Sports Star of David Tattoo

The John Galliano Fall 2011 presentation yesterday had a hard-to-spot surprise: One model wore a small Star of David tattoo on her lithe upper arm.

The traditional symbol of Judaism caught the attention of those present at the intimate showing, in light of the designer’s recent arrest and firing from Christian Dior for alleged anti-Semitic remarks he made during a reportedly drunken public confrontation. It’s not clear whether the model was making an intentional statement with her tattoo or if it was mere coincidence.

Christian Dior Fall 2011 Fashion Week Show Goes On, Without John Galliano

John Galliano was, of course, absent from the Christian Dior Fall 2011 fashion show, held today at the Rodin Museum in Paris. The collection turned out to be the designer’s last for the iconic French label, after his recent public, anti-semitic rant and subsequent dismissal.

But the show did go on—with a couple of non-traditional twists. Opening the show was Dior CEO, Sidney Toledano, who addressed the audience in French. According to the New York Times’ Cathy Horyn, he read from a written solemnly from a written statement.

John Galliano’s Show Canceled, Replaced With Presentation

Scandal-rocked John Galliano has downgraded the Fall 2011 showing of his eponymous label in Paris from a full runway show to a presentation.

Galliano is thought to be in rehab following accusations of alleged racial outbursts and his dismissal from the helm of Dior earlier this week.

His theatrical runway shows, both for his own-name label and the house of Dior, are usually among the highlights of Paris Fashion Week.

John Galliano Apologizes in Statement

The following John Galliano statement has been issued:

“Since the events of last Thursday evening I have not been able to make any public comment on what took place based upon advice from my French lawyer. However, given the continuing delays at the French Prosecutor’s Office I should make my position clear.

I completely deny the claims made against me and have fully co-operated with the Police investigation.
